Checked 30 October 2026
Surfshark suits households: one subscription covers unlimited devices, and it has servers in Dubai and modes designed for networks that try to block VPNs.
In the UAE
Surfshark’s UAE page lists 12 servers in Dubai. In its official server API the Dubai cluster has no “virtual” tag, while its Saudi location, for comparison, does. The iPhone app and the Mac app are both on the UAE App Store (iPhone version 5.1.0, released 22 October 2026).
For restrictive networks it offers Camouflage Mode, which hides that you are using a VPN, and NoBorders, which detects networks that restrict VPNs.
Privacy and audits
Deloitte reported on Surfshark’s no-logs policy in 2023 and 2025, SecuRing tested its infrastructure and apps in 2025, and Cure53 has audited it several times, most recently in 2026 (Surfshark Trust Center). The company is Surfshark B.V. in Amsterdam; its App Store seller name is SURFSHARK LTD.
Apps and devices
Apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, iPhone, iPad, Android, Fire TV, Apple TV and browsers. There is no device limit (Surfshark pricing).
Free plan, trial and refund
No free plan. Surfshark advertises a 7-day free trial on its 12- and 24-month plans through its mobile apps (downloads page), and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Prices are shown in your local currency and change often, so check the price page.
What we do not like
- No free plan.
- Twelve UAE servers is fewer than NordVPN (18) or Proton VPN (76).
- Pricing differs by region and plan.
Choose something else if
- you need a free VPN: Proton VPN or Windscribe;
- you want the longest no-logs audit record: NordVPN.
We did not run our own speed or streaming tests; this review is based on the provider’s own documents and the UAE App Store, checked on 30 October 2026.
