Checked 30 October 2026
Private Internet Access (PIA) gives unlimited devices and a Dubai server, with Intelligent Obfuscation for networks that block VPNs.
In the UAE
PIA’s UAE pages describe servers in Dubai. In its official server list the UAE region is not marked as geo-located (virtual), while Saudi Arabia and Qatar are. The app is on the UAE App Store (version 3.37.2, released 13 October 2026).
Privacy and audits
Deloitte Audit Romania has audited PIA’s no-logs claims twice; the first report is “as of June 30, 2022” and the page gives no date for the second (PIA). PIA says its no-logs policy has been tested in court more than once. The company is Private Internet Access, Inc. in the USA, owned by Kape Technologies since 2019.
Apps and devices
Apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, iPhone, Android, browsers, Android TV, Apple TV and routers, with unlimited devices (PIA plans). Intelligent Obfuscation uses multi-hop routing to disguise VPN traffic.
Free plan, trial and refund
No free plan. New mobile users get a 7-day trial through the App Store or Google Play. Direct purchases have a 30-day refund for new subscribers; store purchases follow the store’s rules.
What we do not like
- The most recent audit we could date is from 2022.
- No free plan, and the trial is only for app-store sign-ups.
- It belongs to the same group (Kape) as ExpressVPN and CyberGhost, which matters if you want a different owner.
Choose something else if
- you prefer a simple app: ExpressVPN;
- you want a recent no-logs audit: Proton VPN or NordVPN.
We did not run our own speed or streaming tests; this review is based on the provider’s own documents and the UAE App Store, checked on 30 October 2026.
